Message from the Secretary of Wattegama Urban Council<\/h3>

Wattegama Urban Council is a local government body belonging to Pathadumbara Divisional Secretariat, Kandy District, Central Province. Consisting of an area of \u200b\u200b2.59 square kilometers, it has a population of about 9960 people living in the area of \u200b\u200b2 village officer domains in total and parts of 06 other domains.<\/p>

The city of Wattegama with Knuckles ecologically sensitive mountain range is concentric to a good railway and highway system. The Wattegama jurisdiction has been created from the villages called Susadi from the heritage of the ancient upland kingdoms.<\/p>

Many different services are performed by this municipality from the birth of man to death and the area is equipped with a main library and a children's library, Ayurvedic clinic, public stadium, crematorium,<\/p>

meeting halls and through the development of side roads, it is fortunate to be able to provide services to the clients even though it is a small municipality. Considerable<\/p>

It is a matter of happiness to be able to successfully run the website with the desire to make the services of all the citizens of the Wattegama Municipal Authority more efficient. .The aim is to provide services and perform duties transparently by adopting new technical methods. I would like to express my gratitude to the Honorable Presidents and Councilors who have worked since the establishment of the Municipal Council to improve the welfare of the urban people and to protect the environment for the future generations, and I declare that the officers including myself will continue to serve the people.<\/p>
